About IllWilled Productions
SFX artist Tate Steinsiek established Ill Willed FX in 2001. Ill Willed provides SFX Makeup and prosthetic application and prop fabrication to the film and television industry. Since its creation, Ill Willed has built a client roster including The Jim Henson Company, Dreamworks, Lionsgate, MTV, Law and Order, Dark Sky Films, Don Post Studios, The History Channel, National Geographic, The Discovery Channel, HBO, XBox, Keds Shoes, and Guitar World Magazine.
I.W.P. Founder Tate Steinsiek has been featured in Makeup Artist Magazine, Fangoria, Rue Morgue, The New York Times, and Variety Magazine. Tate has also directed a number of award winning films Including"CLOWN"which won "Best if the Next in Horror" at the 2008 Screamfest awards,"My Winter's Coat", and the unnerving "The Devoured"starring Peter Greene.
I.W.P. was vast International experience, having coordinated films in India, Lithuania, Morocco, Canada, and Turkey. In 2009 I.W.P. opened an additional location in Merekech, Morocco/Africa to service the increasing film industry. I.W.P. now has fully functional shops available for hire in NYC, Tulsa OK, Las Vegas NV, and Merekech Moroc. 10/09 I.W.P. is in development for it's first feature film DAMNATION HOUSE, directed by Tate Steinsiek....shooting in summer of 2010...stay tuned.

10/22/08 - Ill Willed in morocco with Battle of the Titans
Illwilled just signed once again with the History Channel to do 10 episodes of the upcoming series BATTLE OF THE TITANS. The series recreates such historic tales as The Odyssey, Lord of the Rings, Beowolf and Grendel, Thor, and an array of Greek and Nordic myths. The series shoots in Morocco and Lithuania in Late 08 and early 09.
10/22/08 - Ill Willed in India with sod
Illwilled Productions goes International with the Bollywood Production Shaadi of the Dead. It is Bollywoods first zombie film, shooting in January of 09 in Mumbai and Hyderabad.

9/07/08 - Scream fest 08' winner!
Illwilled Productions founder Tate Steinsiek recently won the coveted Best of the Next in Horror award and a check for $10,000 for his film CLOWN at this years Screamfest in Hollywood CA. The film screened at the historic Mann Chinese Theatre.

7/29/08 - Boost mobile contest winner script...IWPs Tate Steinsiek just won Boost Mobiles international script contest searching for the next big thing in Horror. His script CLOWN details the journey of a boy kidnapped from a circus by 2 rouge clowns in the 1800s, and the boys revenge against them, and his adult life with a traveling freak show. Tate was awarded a budget by Boost to shoot his film, which will be competing in the 2008 Screamfest International Film Festival in Hollywood CA

Illwilled productions has joined forces with the infamous COLLECTIVE HARDWARE on New York Citys historic Bowery Street. IWP has expanded to a new 3000 sq foot studio in the historic 169 Bowery Building, joining forces with NYC filmmakers Norman Reedus, Ronnie Cutrone of Warhols Factoy, Stuart Braunstein, and Real Estate Mogul Ronald Rivelini. April 23rd was the PREMIERE SCREENING of THE DEVOURED! We had a capacity room turn out for the event. The screen filmed in the Penthouse of THE SPOTLIGHT in Times Square. And for the record, during the infamous "Surgery Scene", a woman passed out, and fell over backwards. Priceless.
I.W.P. Founder Tate Steinsiek is featured in a recent issue of FANGORIA MAGAZINE. Issue # 273 sports a 4 page article about KNOCK KNOCK, a film by Joe Ariola. I.W.P. coordinated the grisly SFX.

I.W.P. helped supply zombies for the 25th Anniversery of THRILLER on the Tribeca Film Fest's waterfront this year. JOHN LANDIS hosted the event featuring the cast of BRAVO'S "So You Think You Can Dance?" as the classic zombie cast. They performed the entire routine in front of an audience of raving Thriller fans....It was an amazing event!

Illwilled goes to Romania! Ill Willed Productions has been subcontracted by Carl Paulino FX studios to do FX on the upcoming History Channel mini series "CLASH OF THE CAVEMEN", produced by MEDIAPRO (Kingdom of Heaven, The Cave, Blood and Chocolate). IWP will be in the Carpathian Mountains till the end of November....so cool.
Tate Steinsiek was recently interviewed by MAKEUP ARTIST MAGAZINE for an article about ILL WILLED in their "INDUSTRY BUZZ" section. This comes as a result of Tate winning the challenge on the reality show MAKING IT BIG. Tate was selected from an international search to compete against 2 other SFX artists for a grand prize...the opportunity to intern under the legendary VE NEIL onset of PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN: AT WORLDS END.
