Illwilled Productions is a Tulsa-born production company, built by award-winning Oklahoma filmmakers. Founded in 2002 as a prosthetic makeup and specialty props studio, IWP evolved into a full-service “script-to-screen” production studio when founder Tate Steinsiek joined forces with filmmakers Ben Meeks and Dylan Brodie, to meet the surge of film and TV production into Oklahoma, specifically those of the darker variety...

Eligible for Cherokee Film incentives and Oklahoma rebates, IWP doubles the financial advantages for productions that partner with us. We staff full departments with seasoned HODs and local crew, provide rebatable post options, and offer complete creative development—concept art, storyboards, pre-vis, creature suits, prosthetics, animatronics, and fine-crafted cinematic oddities.

From specialized props and digital sculpture to production logistics, rentals, post, and a multitude of location services, we’ve fueled projects across Oklahoma and beyond. What sets IWP apart is simple: we don’t just produce—we CREATE, your vision designed, fabricated, LIT & SHOT, cut and delivered. One stop... makes sense, doesn't it?

If your project wanders into the surreal, the horrifying, or the beautifully strange, Illwilled Productions is your one-stop shop to drag that vision from spark to final cut. Welcome to the dark side of Oklahoma filmmaking.

In 2019 Tate was nominated for a SATURN AWARD for his Prosthetic & puppet work on the Mel Gibson/Vince Vaughn crime drama DRAGGED ACROSS CONCRETE. Director S. Tate unfortunately lost to a film called "AVENGERS: END GAME" ... never heard of it.
